Why does recline matter for pressure sores?
Sitting upright loads all the user's weight onto the seat bones. Reclining shifts that load onto the back and thighs, restoring blood flow. For a user who cannot shift their own weight, recline every hour is what prevents a wound that takes months to heal.
Is it hard for one caregiver to operate?
No. The recline is assisted, so one person can set it with the user seated. We show the family how at delivery and the anti tippers stop the chair going over backwards.
Should I buy a cushion as well?
