What this children's wheelchair is
This is the children's folding wheelchair on our floor: chrome plated steel frame, red tartan padded upholstery, child-width seat, fixed padded armrests, elevating flip-up footrests with a calf strap, grey push handles, 20 inch solid rear wheels with hand rims and 360° front casters. Push-to-lock brakes. The frame folds so one parent can lift it into a boot. It is a mobility chair for children who can sit with ordinary trunk control. It is not a cerebral palsy seating system.
Send hip width, back-of-hip to back-of-knee, and heel-to-knee. We pick the seat at fitting. Free re-fitting of footrest height as the child grows.

Children's wheelchair FAQs
How much is a children's wheelchair in Kenya?
KSh 15,000 at Wheelchairs Kenya, including VAT, fitting, 12-month warranty and delivery. Nairobi children's folding listings sit around KSh 13,000 to 16,000.
What age is it suitable for?
Size, not age. Roughly 3 to 12 years if hip width, seat depth and footrest range fit. Send measurements on WhatsApp.
Does it have a safety harness?
This tartan folding model does not ship with a chest harness. Children who need trunk or head support need the cerebral palsy chair, not a padded strap on this frame.
Does it fold for the car?
Yes. About 14 kg. One parent can usually lift it into a boot.
Will you adjust it as my child grows?
Yes, at no charge. Footrest height is the usual change. Most children get two to three years from one frame if the seat width still fits.
